You want 100% satisfaction? so do we Its okay to tell us when your not sure about your hair or beauty treatment or service, in fact we welcome it! We want you walking out our door feeling fantastic. All our colour work is guaranteed for four week when using the correct homecare prescribed by your stylist or colourist. All beauty treatments and skin care are guaranteed for seven days. Its okay to return a product if you have an allergy or its not working for you.

We so believe in our promise to you that every time you leave the salon it is all writing for you, with the gift of a treatment and blow wave the following week.

I Cathy Davys give my personal guarantee that if you are not 100% delighted with your hair and beauty services or homecare product within seven days we will gladly redo the service or refund your money.


Complimentary Consultations

A full consultation will be given every time, we want you to know we care and be able to share our knowledge with you. You will never be sold a product or service that is not suitable for you. We also promise to recommend what will benefit you, so you receive the best possible advise for your hair and skin care from the team who are the Experts.

Skin and hair Analysis

You will receive a complete analysis of your skin and hair on every visit. The optimum health of your skin and hair is our priority everytime. Your well being and beauty is our mission. There will be no guess work when it comes to choosing your products, treatments and services.

Great Food and Beverages

Iced water, an assortment of teas, plunger coffee, orange juice will be provided. We also offer wine or bubbles for that special treat. Our spa menu is available  for the decadent you. (Barrister made coffee will incur a charge) For Spa packages, Weddings and Corporate Functions the Museum Hotel and the Bolton Hotel provide us with delicious platters.

Group Bookings

Group bookings are a great choice for Girls Day Out, Hens Parties, School Balls or Corporate Functions. Team Building or Fashion Events, plus Mens Indulgence nights. Your treatment room and styling station will always be immaculate. You will notice the level of cleanliness. Every think that we use to perform individual treatments in beauty treatments is disposable. This ensures everything is new and not used.

Time is Precious

We promise not keep you waiting more than 8 minutes after your appointment time. On arrival every stage of the journey through the salon and spa wil be explained to you.

Guaranteed Appointment Times

Your appointment will invert be altered to suit our own agenda and only ever at your request. If we need to reschedule your appointment due to a team member's illness we will phone you to advise of a change of therapist or stylist.

Privacy

Our rooms have been sound proof for your relaxation. As we are Urban Spas and Salons Occasional sounds may filter through. Our Therapists will never leave you alone in the room. You will be pampered every second of your visit. There will be no accidental interruptions here.

Professional Training - A Qualified Team

You will be guaranteed that you will be attended by the best trained Beauty Therapists and Hairdressers in Wellington. You will know that your Therapist or Stylist has or is in the process of undergoing rigorous and constant professional training. And you will always be informed if your Therapist or Stylist is in training. This is also reflected in our tiered pricing for our Hair Stylists.

Written Advice for Free

You will always be given a prescription of what we recommend you use on your skin and hair. When enjoying a Smash Box make up a details face map is drawn up detailing the colours and applications we have used.

Payment Options

All major credit cards accepted as well as EFTPOS, Barter Card by arrangement (not at all locations) or cheque (with ID), and our fabulous Gift Vouchers.


Cancellation Policy

A cancelled appointment that does not provide the required 24 hours notice will result in a charge of the 50% of the cost of a haircut or spa appointment. No phone quotes will be accepted. Only quotes given at time of consultation on site will be accepted.


Salon & Spa Etiquette

Kindly allow 24 hours cancellation notice for all appointments.

All guests will be required to give a credit card when booking an appointment. Our service providers and our facilities are in high demand. We have a waiting list of clients each week. our cancellation policy was created to best serve our clients, and to create opportunities for new appointments.

Who will help me decide how to choose my treatments

Our Guest relations will help you plan the perfect spa experience, including the best sequence for your services. Our therapists and stylist will also be involved to personalise your journey in the salon and spa.

How early should I arrive?

We recommend that you arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment so that you have time to change and relax before we get started.

Why do some service providers charge more than others?
All of our team receive up to the minute advanced education on a continuous basis. We have technical levels to help you choose based on professional experience.

May I request a male or female?

Yes, but we cannot guarantee the availability of a particular service provider. All of our spa employees are trained to drape sheets discreetly over the areas of the body not involved with the treatment. We respect and protect your privacy at all times.

Can I bring my children with me to the spa?

To maintain the calming atmosphere of the spa, children are not permitted. For the safety of your children, we ask that they not accompany you to an appointment as they cannot be left unattended.

Is there a minimum age requirement to enjoy the salon or spa?

All esthetic guests must be at least 12 years of age and guests for body treatments must be at least 16 years of age. Children of all ages are permitted in the salon, when accompanied by an adult.

How much notice do you require if I need to re-schedule or cancel my appointment?
Four hour notice is required if you are not able to keep your appointment and need to re schedule.

How can I get the hair style you gave me at home?
Our appointment is also an education - so please feel free to ask us about technique, products and your cut. We're happy to answer any questions so that you can keep your look up form home! We will even give you a lesson.

Can I have my cell phone?
We ask that you keep your cell phone off during services to prevent disruption of services and other guests. This includes the salon, where cell phone should not be used during a service so that we may communicate with you about your chosen style.

What do I wear during my salon service or spa treatment?
Most body treatments are enjoyed without clothing. Undergarments may be worn if preferred. In the salon, a wrap will be provided to preserve your clothing from colour and stray hair. Most importantly, wear what is comfortable to you.

What if I have special health considerations?
Please notify the sales associates if you have high blood pressure, allergies, other physical ailments or disabilities or if you are pregnant at the time of booking. All spa guests will be asked to complete a brief medical questionnaire upon check-in, designed with your well being in mind.

What about my jewelry and valuables?

Please leave such items at home or in your hotel safe. While there are lockers available in the spa; Cathy Davys does not assume any liability for personal items.

What about my comfort?
Whether its the amount of massage pressure of the volume of the music...just ask us.

What if I'm late for my appointment?
Arriving late will limit the time for your treatment, potentially reducing its effectiveness and your pleasure. Your treatment will end on time so that the next guest is not delayed.

What about gratuities?
Gratuities are not included in the price of our services, treatment packages or gift certificates, if you have had an awesome experience with one of our team, gratuities are accepted.

What about payment for spa services?
We accept Cathy Davys gift certificates, Visa, Master Card, American Express, Dinners and eftpos.Bartercard by arrangement and is not available at all locations.
